Marissa Dunn

Marissa started taking pottery classes in 2013 as a way to have some alone time away from the house and play in the mud.  Throwing on the wheel quickly became a form of stress reduction and meditation.  The ability to create functional art that will outlive me, out of nothing but water, mud, momentum and my will, still amazes me every time I do it.

Over the years her focus has been on functional pottery particularly bowls and candle holders, cause "you can put stuff in them".  Marissa resides in the NEK with her two dogs Penn & Teller and their cat Jackson PawLick.
